Breckenridge Outfitters opened in 1994 on Main Street with one ambition: to be the best fly fishing outfitter in the country. We've been here ever since, in the same room, with the same focus: guided trips and a full Orvis-endorsed retail shop. Four Orvis Outfitter of the Year awards (2013, 2005, 2004, 1999) and one Shop of the Year (2016) along the way.

Most of the guide team has been with us five seasons or more. We hire slow and keep people long. Tim West owns the shop today; Ned Parker manages it day-to-day.

Rods, reels, fly lines, leaders, tippet, waders, boots, vests, packs. Orvis is our anchor brand because the warranty actually means something. We carry rods from Helios down to the Encounter so there's a real entry point.

For flies, we tie a third of what's in the bins ourselves. The rest come from a few small tiers we've worked with for years. The Colorado-specific patterns (Pat's Rubber Legs, the Tan Caddis, the Frenchie variants) are tied for the conditions we actually fish.
